What are some good early childhood Wii games for toddlers?
What are some Wii games that are rated EC for Early Childhood? Mainly looking for learning games that are somewhat educational for 3, 4 or 5-year-olds.
Other educational games on iPad or computer for preschool would be helpful too. Thanks.

As of right now, there are a total of 9 games that have been rated EC by the ESRB – a couple of which haven’t come out yet. Early childhood games are specifically for ages 3-6, so they are ideal for the age range you are looking for. Several are available through the Wii Shop channel as WiiWare games too. Here is the full list: http://bit.ly/kUwgD5
I highly recommend “The Very Hungry Caterpillar’s ABC’s” (WiiWare). Very educational for little ones.
The WiiShop also has 3 episodes available for the game “Learning with the PooYoos.”
Reader Rabbit Preschool is new to the Wii and just came out in May 2011. Jumpstart has educational games as well like “Pet Rescue.”
And like the previous poster said, there is the Sesame Street series, although they don’t get quite as high reviews from parents. Along with Elmo (ABCs) and Cookie Monster (123s), there is a third one coming out this fall called “Ready, Set, Grover.”
As for games like those from Disney or Nick Jr (Go Diego Go & Dora), these are usually rated E for everyone, so the target age is 6 and older. Younger kids can still play them, but they may not have as much educational value. Go, Diego, Go Dinosaur Rescue seems like a pretty good one in our experience.

I don’t think wii has any games for toddlers but you could get the new vtech move. It’s the same concept as a wii but for little kids

Ruth asks…
What are some good Wii games for toddlers and/or special needs kids?
My son is turning 5 next May and we decided on a Wii, because I have read so many reviews about Leap Frogs and V-Techs freezing up and my son gets frustrated when things like that freeze. Plus the Wii has a wider variety of games for him as he progresses. He has high functioning Autism (so in many ways he is like a 3-4 year old) and does best with games he mostly has to move the remote around with. He is a smart little boy and it is only a matter of time before he can do games just like a typical 5 year old.
Right now I am not really looking for as much educational. He cannot count yet, though he is starting to do well with colors. Just something he can basically move around with for now.

Id suggest Cooking Mama (mainly making movement with the remote)
And Carnival Games( simple games that just requiring throwing and moving the remote)

“Are there any Wii games for toddlers?

I did some research trying to find an answer to your question and the answer is no. Although there are games for kids around the ages of 7+ theres nothing available that would be amusing or work good with a toddler. Sorry :-/

George asks…
What is the best Wii game for toddlers? Something with no violence.?
Mario Party keeps coming up but I’m looking for something even less violent than that. I don’t need the “best game!” I want the ideal game for a 3 year old.
Thanks
